Random Name Picker (Spin the Wheel)

Random Name Picker chooses a name from a list, with a spinning wheel to watch. Paste or type the names — one per line, or separated by commas — and press Spin. The pick is made before the wheel moves, with the browser’s cryptographically secure random number generator and a method (rejection sampling) that gives every name exactly the same chance; the wheel then turns to land on that name. The animation decides nothing, so a slower or faster device cannot change the result. Turn on “Take each picked name off the list” to draw names one after another without repeats, as in a raffle, a turn order or picking students to answer. Names listed twice are pointed out, because they would be twice as likely to come up. With more than 40 names the wheel cannot show them all, so the result is shown without it; the pick is made the same way.
