eDPI Calculator

Work out your eDPI (DPI × sensitivity) and cm/360 — how far your mouse moves for a full turn — for CS2, Valorant, Apex, Overwatch 2, Call of Duty and more.

Medium
  • eDPI = DPI × in-game sensitivity. It compares players of the same game only; cm/360 compares across games.
  • cm/360 = 360 ÷ (sensitivity × 0.022°) ÷ DPI × 2.54, where 0.022° is how far Counter-Strike 2 / CS:GO turns per mouse count at sensitivity 1.
  • Medium — where many players of tactical shooters sit.

Mouse

In your mouse’s software.

Mouse acceleration (in Windows, “Enhance pointer precision”) must be off for these figures to hold in game; most shooters read the mouse raw.

How is this calculated?
eDPI = DPI × sensitivity. cm/360 = 360 ÷ (sensitivity × yaw) ÷ DPI × 2.54, where yaw is degrees per count at sensitivity 1 (0.022 for CS2 and Apex, 0.07 for Valorant, 0.0066 for Overwatch 2 and Call of Duty).

About this tool

What it does

eDPI Calculator works out two numbers players use to talk about mouse sensitivity. eDPI — effective dots per inch — is your mouse’s DPI multiplied by your in-game sensitivity: 800 DPI at 1.5 is 1,200 eDPI, the same as 400 DPI at 3. It lets two players of the same game compare settings whatever DPI their mice use. But eDPI means nothing across games, because each game turns the view by a different angle per mouse count. So it also works out cm/360: how many centimetres you move the mouse to turn a full circle, which is the same feel in any game. It does this from the game’s yaw — the degrees turned per mouse count at sensitivity 1 — for Counter-Strike 2, Valorant, Apex Legends, Overwatch 2, Call of Duty, Team Fortress 2 and Quake, and says in plain words where the result sits, from very fast to very slow. Use it to understand your own settings, to copy a professional’s feel, or before switching mouse or game.

How to use it
  1. Enter your mouse’s DPI from its software.
  2. Enter your in-game sensitivity.
  3. Choose the game for cm/360.
  4. Read your eDPI and cm/360.
Limits and your data
  • Hip-fire only: scoped and aim-down-sight sensitivities use their own multipliers.
  • Mouse acceleration must be off (in Windows, untick “Enhance pointer precision”); most shooters read the mouse raw.
  • A game update can change its yaw; turn 360° and measure the mouse to check.
  • Everything is worked out in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere.

Questions

What is a good eDPI for Valorant?

Many players sit around 200–400 eDPI in Valorant (about 33–65 cm/360); professionals often near 250–300. Comfort matters more than copying a number.

Is lower eDPI better?

Lower means more arm movement and finer aim; higher means faster turns. Choose what lets you both aim and turn comfortably.

Why does the same eDPI feel different in two games?

Each game turns by a different angle per count. Compare cm/360 instead — or use the Sensitivity Converter.

Does DPI on its own matter?

Only a little: 800 DPI at 1.5 and 1600 at 0.75 turn the same. Very low DPI with high sensitivity can feel steppy.
