A joke first, the moment the page opens. Pick a mood — Stupid, Clever, Desi, Programmer, Relationship, Family, College, Office — or leave it on For You, which leans towards what you enjoy. Every day there is Today’s Laugh, the same joke for everyone, and a three-round challenge: finish the joke by picking its real ending. Come back each day to grow your laugh streak.

Every joke here is written or licensed for ToolsDev and entered by our editors, with its cartoon. Nothing is fetched from a joke website — the page, the jokes and their pictures all come from our own server.

Each joke is checked before it is published: a title, a language, a category, its words or dialogue, and a picture of the right size. Where a joke plays on a word or a reference some readers might miss, an editor may add a short explanation — that is what “Explain” shows. Every explanation is written or reviewed by an editor before it is published.

For You learns on your device only. A laugh, a 🧠, a save or a send makes a category a little more likely; a joke you skip without reading, or mark 😐, makes it a little less likely. About one joke in three is chosen from everything, so the feed keeps finding new things instead of narrowing to one kind. Old reactions fade over time.

The server never learns your taste: it only sees which category the next joke is asked for. You can see what For You has learned, and start fresh, in the Laugh Vault.

Today’s Laugh and the challenge are the same for everyone and change at midnight India time. The challenge shows three jokes without their endings; pick the real ending from three. Your score stays on this device.

A day counts towards your laugh streak when you react to a joke with 😂 or 🧠, save or send one, or play the challenge. Miss a whole day and the streak starts again — there are no reminders, no notifications and nothing to buy.

Trending counts laughs and sends from the last seven days, a send counting twice. When nothing has been counted that week the list says so and shows the all-time most loved instead — or the newest, if no joke has a laugh yet. Nothing is invented to fill it.

Send uses your phone’s share sheet, WhatsApp or a copied link. Picture card makes a square, story or wide image of the joke — with its cartoon, your choice of colours and the joke’s address — on your device, to download or send. Every link opens exactly that joke, and “Next” carries on into the feed.

The page downloads a joke, not the whole collection, using a 320- or 480-pixel picture; the next joke is fetched while you read. In the Laugh Vault you can download an offline pack of a language’s newest jokes with their pictures — with no connection, the feed reads from your packs.

Saved jokes, history, reactions, streak and packs are kept in this browser with your other ToolsDev data: they appear in “Export my data” and go with “Delete everything” on the Your data page.

They are written to be. Every joke is reviewed before it is published and editors remove anything that slips through. Read a few first if you are choosing jokes for a class.

Only after every joke in that language, mood or category has been shown. The page remembers the last forty jokes you saw on this device, skips them, and tells you when it starts again from the top.

Yes. The words of every joke are printed beside its cartoon, and screen readers read them out, so a joke still works if the picture does not load.

No. Everything personal stays in this browser. Clearing the browser’s site data, or “Delete everything” on the Your data page, removes it.
