About this tool
What it does
Letterhead Maker sets your business or organisation’s name, tagline, address, phone, email and website at the top of the page, and your GSTIN or other registration (CIN, Udyam, licence) in a footer line — the way an official letter pad looks. Then either write a letter on it — reference number, date, the person it goes to, subject, greeting, your paragraphs, closing and who signs it with their designation — or choose Blank to print the letterhead alone as stationery for handwritten or typed letters. The GSTIN is checked as you type: a character typed wrong fails its check digit and the page says so before you print a hundred sheets with a wrong number. Choose Classic, Modern or Minimal and A4 or Letter, then print or save it as a PDF to email. Save drafts to reuse the letterhead for every letter.
How to use it
- Fill in your business name, address and the contact details you want shown.
- Add your GSTIN and any other registration for the footer, if you have them.
- Choose With a letter and write it, or Blank to print stationery.
- Fix anything listed above the preview, then Print or save as PDF.
- Save a draft so the letterhead is ready for the next letter.
Limits and your data
- There is no logo upload here; Billing Studio keeps a logo for invoices. The header uses your name in the template’s type.
- The GSTIN check catches typing mistakes (format, state code, check digit); it does not confirm the registration is active — check that on the GST portal.
- A letter that runs long flows onto a second page without the header repeated.
- Everything stays in this browser; nothing is uploaded. Drafts are kept only when you press Save draft, on this device, and are in Export my data.
Questions
What should a company letterhead include?
The registered name, address, phone and email; a company’s CIN and, if registered, its GSTIN are usually shown too. Companies must show their name, registered office address, CIN, phone and email on letterheads under section 12 of the Companies Act, 2013.
Should I print a blank letterhead or write the letter here?
Write it here for a clean PDF to email. Choose Blank when you want a stack of printed sheets to write or print letters on later.
Is “Yours faithfully” or “Yours sincerely” right?
Traditionally, “Yours faithfully” when you began “Dear Sir or Madam”, and “Yours sincerely” when you used the person’s name. Change the greeting and closing to suit.
How do I put a signature on it?
Print and sign by hand, or sign the PDF with the PDF tools’ Sign PDF page.
