About this tool

What it does

Invitation Card Maker lays out an invitation the way printed cards are set: a heading, who invites, the invitation line, the names or the event in large type, then the day, time and venue, an optional note and whom to tell if you are coming. Choose the occasion — wedding, birthday, housewarming (Griha Pravesh), puja, anniversary, naming ceremony or something else — and the heading and invitation line start from the usual wording for it; change any word, and switching occasion later keeps what you wrote. The weekday is worked out from the date, so the card can never say Sunday for a Saturday, and a date that does not exist (29 February in a year that is not a leap year) is pointed out. An end time earlier than the start is read as past midnight and printed as “the next day”. Choose one of six templates and eight colours, A4 or Letter, then print it, or save it as a PDF to send on WhatsApp or by email.

How to use it
  1. Choose the occasion; the heading and invitation line fill in.
  2. Type who invites and whom or what the invitation is for.
  3. Add the date, time (and end time, if you like), venue and address.
  4. Add a note — dress code, “Lunch to follow” — and an RSVP contact if you want replies.
  5. Fix anything listed above the preview, then Print or save as PDF.
Limits and your data
  • The wording is in English; type your own line in any language the browser can show — the card prints it as typed.
  • There are no photos or background images; the card is type and an ornamental border in your chosen colour.
  • Muhurat and auspicious timings are not calculated here: type the time your priest or family gives.
  • Everything stays in this browser; nothing is uploaded — names, dates and addresses included. Drafts are kept only when you press Save draft, on this device, and are in Export my data.

Questions

How do I send it on WhatsApp?

Choose Print or save as PDF, pick “Save as PDF” as the printer, and send the file. Most phones open a PDF straight from the chat.

Can I write the invitation in Hindi or another language?

Yes — type the heading, invitation line and names in any script. The card prints exactly what you type.

What does RSVP mean?

“Répondez s’il vous plaît”: please reply. Give a name and phone number so guests can say whether they will come.

Why is the weekday not something I type?

Because a typed weekday can disagree with the date. The page works it out from the date itself.
