Percentages practice
Percent of, percent change, successive discounts. Ten questions, ten minutes, one mark each and nothing deducted. Every set is new, and every answer is worked out by the computer rather than typed in, so it cannot be wrong in the key.
How these questions are made
Each question is built from numbers the computer chooses so that the answer comes out exact — no “approximately”, no rounding to match an option. The wrong options are the mistakes people really make: adding two discounts instead of applying one after the other, averaging two speeds, dividing by the new price instead of the old. Picking one of those and reading the explanation is how a mistake stops being made twice.
None of these questions comes from a real examination, and no exam body is connected to them. They practise the same skills the quantitative sections of SSC, banking and railway papers test.
