Tip & Bill Split Calculator

Enter the bill, choose a tip and say how many people are paying. The calculator adds the tip, splits the total evenly and shows exactly what each person owes — optionally rounded up to a whole amount so paying in cash or by UPI is simple.

3. Use + and − to set how many people are splitting.
4. Choose whether to round each share up to a whole amount or the nearest ten.
5. Read the amount each person pays, plus the tip and total.

• Shares are always rounded up, never down, so the group never pays less than the total. Any extra is shown and can go to the tip.
• The split is even — it doesn’t handle people ordering different amounts.
• In India many restaurants add a service charge; check the bill before adding a tip on top. Service charge is voluntary under consumer protection guidelines.
• Everything is worked out in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent anywhere, and the calculator works offline.

Conventions vary. Tipping on the pre-tax amount is common; enter whichever figure you prefer.

When the total doesn’t divide exactly, each share is rounded up to the next paisa or rupee so the bill is always covered. The difference is shown.

It depends on the country and the service. In India 5–10% is common where service charge isn’t included; in the US 15–20% is typical.
