About this tool
What it does
The date calculator answers “what date is it …” questions: 30 days from today, 6 months after a joining date, 90 days before a visa expiry, or 15 working days after an order. For working days it skips weekends — Saturday and Sunday, or only Sunday for a six-day week — and, if you choose, the Central Government’s gazetted holidays, and it lists each holiday it skipped. Everything is worked out on calendar dates, so the answer never shifts with time zones or daylight saving.
How to use it
- Choose Calendar days, or Working days for business deadlines.
- Set the start date. It starts on today.
- Choose Add or Subtract, then the amount and the unit — or tap one of the common amounts.
- For working days, choose your weekend and whether to skip India’s public holidays.
- Read the date, with its weekday, and any notes about how it was reached.
Limits and your data
- The start date is not counted: 1 day after Monday is Tuesday, and 1 working day after Friday is Monday.
- Adding months keeps the day of the month where it exists. 31 January plus one month becomes 28 February (29 in a leap year), and the result says it was adjusted.
- Public holidays are the Central Government’s gazetted list for Delhi (DoPT). State holidays, bank holidays and your employer’s calendar can differ; the holidays page has state and RBI lists.
- Holidays are skipped only for the years that list covers. Beyond it, only weekends are skipped, and the result says so.
- Legal and contractual deadlines can have their own counting rules — for example, whether a deadline falling on a holiday moves to the next working day. Check the rule that applies to you.
- Everything is worked out in your browser. No dates are sent anywhere or saved.

What date is 30 days from today?

Why does adding one month to 31 January give 28 February?
February has no 31st, so the last day of February is used. Banks and most software follow the same rule. Adding a month to 28 February gives 28 March, not 31 March.
Which holidays are skipped?
The compulsory holidays in the Central Government’s list for Delhi, published by the Department of Personnel and Training — for example Republic Day, Independence Day and Gandhi Jayanti. Optional (restricted) holidays are not skipped.
